How to arreglarte?!

The “Beauty Industry”, I have a love and hate relationship with it. Of course like mostly all girls I grew up playing with Barbies, nail polish, makeup etc. I grew up thinking in order to get a boy to notice you, you had to be skinny and really well put together. I would always compare myself to the women I would see in magazines and in TV however now that we are in 2017 and I am 23 years old I realize beauty standards have gotten out of hand. Now that I have found myself and began to awaken I see the bigger picture the evil picture behind the beauty industry. They profit from the insecurities of our women, they make us feel unattractive and unhappy with ourselves. As many already know I attend UC Riverside and Instagram Model/MUA Jen_ny69 is from here so she is well known. Disclaimer I am about to state my own personal opinion if you don’t agree with it don’t get your panties up in a bunch, you are on my blog so I remind you this is MY place to type away whatever I have in mind. So yeah continuing, I got asked by some colleagues if I was going to attend her “How to Arreglarte Show” and when I asked them wtf that was they told me it was a show where you pay $65 to watch this girl get ready and $500 for the VIP tickets which grant you access to hang out with her after the show………. YOOOOOOOO WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SCAMMING BULL SHIT?! You can not sell confidence, confidence is something that comes from within something that can not be taught. It really is soul breaking to think this girl has 1.2 million followers and what she promotes to them is how to be materialistic, egoistic, and preaches on how appearances will open you the doors to success? There are millions of MUA’s on social media teaching you how to do your makeup for FREE. These makeup artist get sponsored by companies so their goodie bags and giveaways don’t come out of their pockets, for someone to believe they deserve to get $500 to party with you is just absurd to me I never laughed so hard at the thought that someone actually asked me if I was going to this event. You can start your own business with $500, instead of giving them to someone who is going to stunt on you with your own money. I would never pay anyone to tell me how to love myself, I am using my pedestal to bring awareness to things that I feel have true meaning and depth. I am a feminist and believe in women doing whatever they need to do to feel empowered. However when I hear someone state “Ever since I got my chichis done, I get doors opened for me” it makes me feel so sad, it makes me not want to have a daughter in this generation. Are girls really getting their lips done and going under a knife for bigger breast simply to get doors opened or to climb the ladder of success faster? Anyone can stunt on social media, anyone can go withdraw handfuls of cash, anyone can go lease the latest car and appear to be someone they are not. I am never impressed by someone who has the need to show everything they own to the world, new money makes you look foolish. I personally vibe with those who are humble, do not get me wrong I respect the hustle but the fact that insecurities are targeted to make a buck is what blows my mind. Girls please be smart stop idolizing these makeup gurus, anyone can look beautiful with a full face of makeup that is what it is for but that shit will wash off, true beauty comes from within beauty is you soul. If you are a mean, self centered and egoistic person you will just attract hate. Which apparently is all this girl addresses, her haters. I like to follow people who uplift me, not those who constantly try to put you down. In this generation everyone wants to be their own boss, everyone wants to be self made and everyone wants to pretend they have it all together online but are something completely different in reality. Never idolize the life of someone on the internet. You only see what they allow you to see, even salt looks like sugar. In this country you do not need makeup, big tits or an ass to be successful why you wanna sell your soul out like that, that is not having any faith on the potential of your mind and putting all your faith on something as shallow as physical appearances. If you catch me on campus again please do not ask me about this girl. Talk to me about raising consciousness, astrology, crystals, weed, the universe, aliens, anything but Fashion Nova clothes, makeup and meaningless things. I am a rare type of woman, I am interested in exploring the deepest parts of your mind and touching the deepest corner of your soul. I seek to motivate, uplift and inspire your spirit. When your aura is vibrant you will always be beautiful. Don’t pay anyone to teach you to be confident, search within find your soul and you got gold baby. Again this is my opinion you don’t gotta vibe with it but I appreciate it you vibe with meee.
